Subject: 9748/Budget/Approp/Accrued Personal Leave Date: Fri, 23 Aug 1991 09:02:00 -0500 ORDINANCE NO. 9748 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 9617 ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 9585, THE BUDGET ORDINANCE, ENCAPTIONED AS HEREINBELOW SET FORTH SO AS TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED FIVE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($305,000.00) FROM THE UNRESTRICTED FUND BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND TO THE VARIOUS RESPECTIVE DEPARTMENTAL ACCOUNTS TO PAY ACCRUED PERSONAL LEAVE TO THE EMPLOYEES ELECTING THE EARLY RETIREMENT INCENTIVE." SO AS TO DELETE "THREE HUNDRED FIVE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($305,000.00)" AND SUBSTITUTE IN LIEU THEREOF "ONE MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY-ONE AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($1,771,481.00)" AND DIVIDE THE AMOUNTS TO THE RESPECTIVE DEPARTMENTAL ACCOUNTS AS DESCRIBED HEREIN. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE: SECTION 1. That this ordinance shall be operative as distinguished from its effective date on and after July 1, 1991. SECTION 3. That if any section, sentence, word or figure contained in this ordinance should be declared invalid by a final decree of a court of competent jurisdiction such holding shall not affect the remaining sections, sentences, words or figures contained in this ordinance, but the same shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 4. That this ordinance shall take effect two (2) weeks from and after its passage as provided by law.
